How to use ADOBE CS3,4 Program in ACER Laptop (PSD,DREAMWEAVER Etc.)

I recently purchased an Acer 6920 laptop, everything runs fine, including other
CS3 applications, however Dreamweaver loads to the point where the splash
screen shows initialising files and then...nothing. I contacted Acer software
support and was told there is a conflict with the 3rd party PSD app shipped
with the laptop as part of what they call empowering technology  I was given
the following fix, which has solved the problem:

 

First restart in safe mode - Click on start, type msconfig into the search box, hit enter. Once open click on the boot tab, under boot options select safe boot and then minimal click OK and then restart Once rebooted navigate to the following folders and in each case rename the PSDProtect.dll file to something else such as noPSDProtect.dll: C:\(Program Files\)Acer\Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\x86 C:\(Program Files\Acer\)Empowering Technology\eDataSecurity\x64 Restart your computer and all should then be fine loading Dreamweaver, PSD

will still work except you will lose drag and drop functionality. Personally I
don't use PSD but simply had to get Dreamweaver working
